Missing Money? (360)807-3122 Text me for answer

Say three brothers go out of town and stop at a motel where the clerk says, "We have one room left but it will cost you 30 dollars". OK ,so they each ante up 10 dollars for the night. After they left the counter the manager comes by and says, "Hey, don't you remember there is a special tonight and it's only 25 dollars, not 30 dollars". So the clerk takes 5 dollars out of the cash register and off he goes to the room. On the way, however, he thinks--- "Hey they don't know it's only 25 dollars,  I'll just give them each one dollar back and keep 2 dollars for my trouble." So he gives each man back one dollar and keeps two for himself. Here's the weird part: That means that each of the men paid 9 dollars a piece  for their night's stay (10 dollars - 1 dollar) but the clerk only kept 2 dollars  for himself. If you take 9 and multiply it by 3 you get 27: add the 2 dollars the clerk kept and you get (30 dollars??) No 29 dollars. What happened to the one dollar???? Text me for the answer at (360)807-3122.
