50 Years in Working with Wood Floors

My name is Franklyn and my name has always "Been" Franklyn.   We have moved to Omar, West Virginia and will be serving all of Logan County in West Virginia. I weave a sense of humor into my craft which makes it FUN.

I am an old school wood floor craftsman.  I have been in the wood flooring industry for over 50 years

I have worked for wood flooring companies, run my own business, worked at both Home Depot and Lowes in the flooring departments.

I have also allowed homeowners to work with me to save money and experience the joy of creating a beautiful wood floor.

I have worked on over 60 gyms, so I literally have acres of experience.

How I Work

Most of my work is calculated by the square foot.    Usually when a homeowner or someone they appoint to work with me helps, the cost is reduced.

On work that is a little more complex I work by the hour and can make adjustments to accommodate a customer's needs and budget.

I have often been told that I teach a lot more than just wood floors.

Examples of Some of the Things I have Done

My journey with wood floors began in New York State and has taken me across the country to the West Coast. I have inlaid coy goldfish, created custom borders, steamed and bent wood, sanded and finished a single-lane bowling alley. a shipping container floor, a roller skating rink, created a complete 10 foot circle, repaired and finished floor in the Watergate Condominiums in Washington DC, worked on an embassy, churches, and worked on a 6 million dollar house to mention a few of my more challenging projects.
